Support right after the injury
We have mental health counselors and program staff that can meet with you during your stay in the hospital to support you in your emotional recovery, provide more information about TRRP, and help answer any questions that you may have. Our program is available to individuals of all ages who have experienced a physical injury. To get started or to learn more, call us at 843-792-0979.
Text Message Check-Ups
After you leave the hospital, we can send you daily text messages checking in about stress and mood. We also send you tips and strategies to help you during your recovery. Research has shown that checking in with your emotions on a regular basis can help improve your recovery and TRRP's helpful coping tips and strategies can alleviate stressful moments.
About a month after your injury, you'll receive an invitation from our team to complete a recovery assessment. We will check in with your on how your recovery has been and what thoughts and feelings you have been experiencing. Sometimes after an injury, people may notice changes in their mood, behavior, or stress levels. We provide feedback, support, and next steps to help you with any emotional challenges or needs you may have after being injured.
Counseling Services & Referrals
If you are struggling with symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns, we can help. Our clinic can provide mental health counseling services both in-person and through telehealth, or a virtual video visit. We specialize in treatment for PTSD and depression after an injury. If we aren't the best fit for your needs, we can help you connect with the right provider and mental health resource in your community.
We partner with the Trauma Survivors Network to offer monthly virtual support groups to individuals who have experienced a physical injury. Each month, a new topic is discussed, and you will have the opportunity to meet with others who may have similar experiences to you. You will learn about emotional recovery and strategies to improve wellness and mental health.
Groups are held on the Third Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm - 7pm.
Example topics include stress and coping, adapting to a "new normal", communication tools, how to set and accomplish your goals, pain management, and more.
